Default Durst M805

I recently purchased a Durst M805 B&W enlarger which needs the top Bimagla AN Glass insert for the carrier. If anyone could advise me where I could find one please let me know. Also can anyone confirm that the enlarger head only has one mirror to reflect the light to the condensers. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this. AO

Thanks again for your assistance and best wishes, AO

Don't hold your breath waiting for Durst. They aren't speedy. If Northern Photo don't have one then just order online from durst. It'll turn up (eventually).

And you might try NOVA as they have a load of Durst bits whaich don't appear on their website.

As far as I know there is only one mirror to reflect the light to the condensers, but I'm curious as to why you need to ask..?

The new price for a Binema AN glass €32 is well worth the money as they go for silly prices secondhand. And the problem with secondhand as you can imagine, is that you can't be absolutely sure they are free of scratches or marks until you have it in your hands or even make prints. And believe me, even the tiniest graze will definately show up on prints costing you more money and heartache in the long run. Unless you love re-touching?

My advice is buy new and have fun straight away rather than wait and perhaps be disappointed and out of pocket later.

Thanks for confirming that for me. I asked because a seller on Ebay sent me some out of focus, blasted with flash pics which seemed to show two mirrors. The guy was a crook...he knew nothing about the item and wanted payment by credit card not paypal.

At that price I agree you may as well buy a new one direct from durst. But by the time you add VAT and shipping it'll probably cost a little more from durst but personally I'd rather have a brand new unscratched one from durst.

I have an M805 packed away with loads of accessories. I may well have what you need but will need to look and check the condition. If I have one you can have it for beer money not silly money...
There are companies that sell AN glass cut to size which might work out a lot cheaper.
