Thanks to all for the warm welcome I received on joining FADU.

I already know of, and admire, the work of several present members of FADU, so in closing must say: Gosh! you guys set the bar awfully high.

Cheers!
Deryck

That's just how the bar should be set, but we are all here to help each other over.

Agreed! and to finish that sentence "all here to help each other over- to the bar" could also be implied.

I work mainly in 4x5 monochrome, split grading. (Now just try taking THAT away from me!)

I have tried digital, of course, and have seen some truly stunning work done in this field by folks who have the knack, but the bug has never bitten and I remain firmly on the darkside.

Thanks for allowing me along,

I'm a fan of f stop timing too, ever since I read Gene Nocon's book on the subjest 20 years ago.....Whatever happened to Gene Nocon???

Guess.

Hint: It begins with "D"...

... and ends with "igital"...

Welcome Deryck. Things are looking up here in the Midlands of England. For the first time I saw two men with film cameras today!

Pity about their age. The men that is, not the cameras but it gladdened my heart.
