I think there needs to be a time limit otherwise things will be put off and slow things to a stop. We also need to know how oftern it will be run and some simple rules need to be published.

I agree and suggest that such rules are based on those for the Print Exchange.

I'd be happy to run the exchange on a regular basis if it's OK with everyone else.
Perhaps we should start off by getting a full list of initial participants and drawing up a set of rules. Steve |

I'd like to join in this exchange and can cope with anything up to 5x4.
Steve, are you proposing to go with the 'paired' approach or the same neg for all idea you came up with? I like the latter. I think the results would be fascinating and varied, but don't mind which way really. |

I would like to join this type of exchange. I can print up to 6x9.
I must get back to the monthly print exchange. With that as with this, summer is difficult as I am not keen on going into the D/R if the weather is at all reasonable. Admittedly, not always a problem!! Mike |

Steve,
Can you put me down as a possible for a later date please as I am starting a new personal project this autumn and I need to give it my full attention. It is great to see the interest in this idea though and to have so many joining up. I wish it much success and I hope to join in next year sometime. Also, many thanks for taking on the role of organiser. Neil.

Like Neil, I would be interested in joining at a later date, as I also have a new project which will need all my attention for a while, but perhaps early next year I would be very interested in taking part, Good luck with the idea, it should be great fun,
Richard

No mention is made of returning the neg(s) or posting a print back to the originator. Personally, I'd like to see the interpretation "in the flesh" as well as having the neg returned. A minor point, but I'm not sure the "anonymous" aspect of a print exchange translates too well to an exchange where participants are paired. Perhaps an announcement of the pairings after the deadline of sign-up has passed ? Much as I'd like to join in, it looks like work commitments will prevent me from logging any darkroom time until next year. Sometimes, this christmas lark can be a right pain in the.... |
