Default Darkroom Flowmeter

Not for everyone, but here's a precise way to regulate your water use, especially for those large large high capacity (11x14, 16x20 & larger) Print washers.

This one is calibrated for liters/minute, so it's a bit more expensive.
If you reeeeallly need one, here's where to buy one...

(It's on the wall, near the funnels).

I am curious as to what the water flow is, but knowing the measurement would not change practice. I use a Versalab and occasionally a small Paterson when only doing RC proof prints. While quite different in their method of working, both have a small range where there is an equilibrium to the water flow that causes the "method" to work and the tank to not overflow.

According to the documentation with the Versalab, that's about a half gallon per minute. My 11x14 washer holds 22 gallons (US), so if I wash for an hour, that's not much more than what a US bath tub holds, or some folks use taking a shower.

I don't get too worked up about it.

Hello Reinhold, once more you come with a solution (I'm enjoying your great wands) ! Even though this depends on several factors, could you tell me what is the flow rate you use for your washer ?
