Anyone know where I can buy Durst Vegatub lens board for Durst
M670 enlarger?Can 80mm. enlarger lens be used with 6x7 negative?

My understanding is that in theory the lens size should equal the square root of the sum of the squares of 6 and 7. This gives a 90mm lens for 6x7 but a 6x7 neg's picture area isn't quite 6x7 so a 80mm might work but it might be touch and go. If you have a 80mm but not a 90 then give it a try and see if there is an issue. If you are having to buy a lens then definitely go for a 90mm

if you provide the make and model you might a definitive answer. Not all lenses of same focal length have same coverage. Some do a bit more and some less and some are specifically designed as wide angle.

Michael, I have a Durst 670 and use an 80mm enlarger lens for 6x7 negs. It just works fine

FYI Not all 80s will cover 6x7

I use a Schneider Componon-S 100mm f/5.6 for 6x7 negatives, which should cover up to 6x9.
