I frequent N Wales a couple of times a year, love it. So would be up for a visit later in the year Mike.
Cheers

Weather

The weather on Dartmoor for next weekend is looking not too bad for January: Friday /Saturday light cloud / gentle breeze, with Sunday / Monday strong winds / rain. Weekend temperatures are expected to be around 7 to 8 degrees.

The weather can be very changeable on the high moors so don't get too concerned about the rain and winds, they may not arrive, but do come prepared to stay warm and dry.

The aim is to get out as much as possible for photography so we shall be visiting many places. But of course the weather on the day will be the deciding factor on what we can do and where we can go. Whatever happens we plan to get out each day and do something!

Provisional locations

Haytor / Haytor Quarry

Fogging Tor / Fogging Tor Quarry

Hisley Bridge

Parke

Bellever Wood

Yarner Wood

Burrator Reservoir

Other locations

If there is anywhere you would like to go to that is not shown above please let me know and I will add it to the list.

Prints

Just another reminder to try to bring some prints along for our informal print share session, by popular demand our gatherings always have one and they are much enjoyed. Having a print in your hands that has been made by a fellow enthusiast is a rare treat for silver print makers.

Meet up point

On the Friday we shall all be arriving at different times so the best thing to do is to head for the hotel's bar when you feel ready. Anytime from say around 4pm should find some of us in there. After say 7pm it's most likely we shall all be in there!

If anyone has any questions / queries on the weekend please raise them here.

Neil.

Default Car Parks on Dartmoor

The last time I was on Dartmoor Car Parking Charges were typically £1 for 3hrs, £2 for over 3 hrs with Blue Badge holders all day for £1. So not too bad but make sure you have the change with you in your car. Some of the car parks we shall be using are free - well they were free the last time I used them!
