Default Benjamin light meter

Hi,

I picked up this light meter and am totally bemused by it. I've been using
a weston master for a while now which has served me well, but I'd love to give this a shot.

Does anyone know of where I might find a digitised operation manual?

Craig

Hi. This looks like a type of meter used to calculate lighting requirements in buildings, etc, rather than a photographic exposure meter. You quite often see the modern version available on eBay and included in the photographic listings. Although it measures light, I don't think it was aimed at photographers. Alex

I see. 'nature of work' category should have given that away.

Thanks Alex.

A quick google confirms Alex's conclusions. It appears AVO did make photographic meters too, although this is not one of them. I imagine a conversion chart can be found somewhere to convert Lux to something more useful to the photographer.
