Welcome to FADU Ruediger. I can understand how Folker and Sandra will have an "umlaut" key on their keyboards but it appears Barry in the U.K. has one also??? Very strange
How did you manage to do an umlaut, Barry? Mike |

the best that I can find is "& # 252 ;" this is html code and without the " " and spaces it shows as: ü or there is the alt code: "alt 129" this is found by pressing the alt key and the the number 129 on the number pad of the keyboard: ü see!
http://www.tedmontgomery.com/tutorial/altchrc.html shows more! Jackie

Another way would be to copy&paste from another post.
For those of you who need some of the German umlauts, here are some you can copy if needed äöüÄÖÜ Cheers Rüdiger |

Thanks Jackie and Rüdiger. Jackie's solution is I think the ASCII code but that doesn't seem to work in the reply section so I copied and pasted Rüdiger's umlaut.

Yes that is the one and it is now sitting in subforum "Film and Darkroom User" > "Alternative Processes" > "Contact printing negatives" which is good, but how do I browse to this sub forum? It does not appear under "Alternative Processes". All what appears there is "Alternate Printing processes" and "Contact printing". So it seems that my answer about how I do enlarged negatives sits in its very own subforum unreachable via the forum hierarchy. Or do I miss something?

It should now be visible to all and hopefully start some discussion.
