FP4, I use it across 35mm and 6x6 120, Holga and pinhole. I'm normally working on a tripod so speed isn't an issue for me.

HP5 -120 format, developed in PMK is my favourite film.
This combination delivers high sharpness and minimal grain. The grain is masked by stain.

I am missing ORWO UN 54 which is the film of choice in 135 format.

My vote went to the PanF, hence my nickname here. I use only 120 film PanF, but love it very much.

Agreed - wonderful film. It's my go-to in 120 when doing landscapes and nature - gorgeous tones when developed in Perceptol 1+1. I'm now experimenting with it in 135 to see how big I can push the enlargements.

PanF
Mostly in 120, and a lot of the images I've posted here over the years are PanF in a C330S. If only they made it in 5x4, where I work on a tripod anyway and the lack of speed wouldn't matter. Now always rated at 25 and developed in PMK. I never seem to have any of the problems with excessive contrast some people complain of. Right enough, the sun doesn't come out here very much.
Beautiful tonality, and the only film which nearly tempted me away was Agfapan 25 which I discovered about a year before it was discontinued.

I'm interested to see that HP5 is the favourite by a long way; Ive never found it very favourable. I much prefer the look of FP4+, which easily pushes to 400.

Speaking from personal experience, I find that HP5 works well with a wider variety of developers than any other film I've ever used. And responds more when tweaking specific developers to get a certain look (e.g. dilution, agitation, etc.) than other films. I have not found another film that is so flexible, even FP4. Versatility is the thing with HP5. You can get almost any look you want with just a few simple changes in brew and technique.

That said, I chose FP4 as my favourite for 135 format

I'm sure you're right, but I'm not sufficiently dedicated to go to those lengths. If it doesn't look good in ID11 then I'm probably not interested!. I think the main reason I prefer FP4 is the smoother grain, bearing in mind that most B&W film I use is in 35mm format. I tend to use colour film for medium format, where the larger negatives enable more subtle colour graduations.
