That was really nice of you- many thanks Mike. Nearly there with the enlarger. Condenser80 mm in and negative slide arrived today.
I do have a question on the filter tray for the Ilford filters. It looks very flimsy and do not see how it supports a square filter securely. Hopefully I have now managed to up load images [/IMG]

The MG filters should just sit, admittedly not securely, on the ledges in each corner of the filter tray. If necessary, the filters can be trimmed to size in order to fit.

The Rodagon and Schneider lenses ending in "ar" (Rogonar and Componar) are their budget offerings, a step up from the cheap and cheerful lenses, possibly adequate for up to 11"x14" from 645 negatives, but not of the same quality as 5 or 6 element designs. http://www.photocornucopia.com/1061.html shows just about any enlarging lens and lists the elements, coverage and the screw thread.

Thanks Martin, that’s good to know. I did wonder why it was a bargain at £20!!!In the short term I doubt I will go above 10x8 so good enough for me the the moment. When I go super size I will upgrade to the higher quality versions. Keith mm

Is it common with other Durst products? I’m planning to do medium format so I believe I need to look for a 70 or 80 mm lens? It has some sort of device attached by a cable to the head so I assume it’s some sort of exposure meter? The condenser lens is a siriocon 50 so I assume a need a different one for 645 negs. Apologies for lots of questions but hopefully I can be nudged onto the correct path. Best regards keith MM in SE London
I have the manual now for the 707. Do you still need it?

It’s a hard copy but I can Photo and send it to you. Send me a PM with an email. To be honest, I’ve stopped using the auto contrast bit and doing it myself with fillers
