Trigger voltages are not a problem for mechanical cameras.

If you have a digital SLR, then watch out.

With Studio Flash, you are better off with remote RF triggers when using any camera, it saves you repeatedly tripping over the flash sync cable - which can pull over a flash head - and they are very difficult to stop being so top-heavy.

They are not really a problem for digital either. It's mainly paranoia.

Most digitals are ok up to 250v according to their manuals.
