Default Britain in Focus: a Photographic History BBC4 11:00pm Wednesday 13 September 2017

I have just noticed the above programme in the Radio Times. It is in 3 parts, each of one hour, and presented by Eamonn McCabe. Tonight's episode seems to deal with photography's beginning in the 19th century with the likes of Roger Fenton and Julia Margaret Cameron

It is a "repeat" but I can't recall having seen it before

It was on earlier this year, I thought it was good, definitely worth a watch.

Time I contacted a doctor. I could not recall it and yet there was a thread about it only 6 months ago where "yours truly" watched it and even made comments

Once I had begun to view it I had a nagging feeling that it was familiar. My long term memory is good and my very short term memory is OK. I know this because when I wake up in the morning I immediately recognise the wife despite not having seen her for about 8 hours

It's the medium term memory that seems to be shot to pieces

In case anyone hasn't seen this 3 part programme there is a re-run from 2:00 am on Tuesday morning on BBC 4. It's in 3 parts, each of an hour long and runs at 2:00am each morning from Tuesday through to Thursday.

I'll give it a go again. As I recall it, the history of photography is dealt with fairly well given it has to appeal to a wide audience

As far as my memory goes, which is very much like Mike's I believe that I've watched them maybe twice over when it's been on. And I think I might have bought the DVD's as well, so that I can watch my favourite bits from it when I fancy. I must take a look to see if I have the DVD's in my collection, but as far as watching them, I need a new DVD player first.

From memory it's a really good set of programmes, which almost makes up for the lack of any others very often on the telly!

So I too will be recording them and watching them again.
