PMarkey's print arrived today.
It is wideangle photograph of a stream in flood taken and printed in square format which suits it well.
In his covering note he says he sampled the river physically as well as photographically. He does not let on as to whether this was intentional. Perhaps it was necessary to sample the flow to get the shutter speed right to have the right amount of movement in the water in the print!!
Thanks, Mike

I received today, from B&W Neil, a beautiful print of a natural ice sculpture. A photo made during a recent FADU gathering. I like the it a lot, but hope the ice has melted! Thank you Neil!

Received a fine print from Raul yesterday, a rather dramatic angled shot of a very ornate lift tower. It really is a beautiful print with the tower soaring up into the sky with all the intricate detail of the ironwork clearly shown. I do like it, thankyou Raul.

Received this morning.

An interesting print on a number of levels.

Firstly the subject matter which is a chain wrapped round a winch barrel with fragments of a boat round it.

Secondly it is the film and paper. Film is the Kodak Double X cine film that I was interested to see and lastly the paper used which is the new Ilford Art Classic 300. A nice heavyweight paper with an unusual texture and a matt finish. Something that is worth exploring further.

Thanks Leo

Bill

I received an excellent print of some vintage machinery from Chris Nicholls in Australia earlier today. Super sharp with a lovely range of tones. Keep up the good work Chris.

Regards

Martin

My sincere apologies! I thought that an acknowledgement of my receipt of a great print from Bob Robertson of a softly sepia tinted but razor sharp shot of a waterfall. Very good technique definately. I really like how the water blurred, just the right amount.

Thank you Bob. I'm sorry about the late reply.
