I think a mixture of ordinary tea and green cake colouring could work. The colouring on its own is too bright.

I've discovered this thread whilst looking for something else so have come late to the discussion.
I use green tea to tone high key prints, it works well on RC papers giving an "old-fashioned" look, a bit like some chloro-bromide papers. On low key prints, my usual style, I find instant coffee gives very much that look. |

Seeing paulographic's post today made me look through the whole thread again and while several have said they had used green tea with success it wasn't really clear to me whether they were saying they simply liked the "tea effect" they got but it wasn't really a green effect or it was in fact clearly green like the example in Digitaltruth that I referred to.
So in simple terms can those, other than Paul, who has made it clear that his effect with green tea isn't green, who have tried green tea say that it was green or not or better still post an example in maybe the discussion gallery. It goes without saying, I hope, that I have yet to try green tea. I really want to avoid buying the stuff if it doesn't work as I wouldn't drink it Thanks Mike |
