I've no idea why they decided to use the Roman names - they mean the same thing (except Libra is actually a weight - relates to the weight of 240 pence (1 shilling = 12 pennies, 20 shillings = 1 pound))

Hmmm - this thread may be in danger of going slightly off-topic...

There is a Mamya M645 for sale in the OP...
Using the roman/latin terme goes way back to the medievil period, when English as we speak it was the language of the peasentry, the lords used mainly French, rememer this was 250 years or so after the Norman's conquered Englaned and the catholic church, whose main language was latin, ruled the roost as regards money, that didn't change until Henry 8 decided he wanted a divorce to marry Anne and changed the English religion, but by then it was a tradition, which di not change until decimalistion, by the way, if it is of any I terest one small part of ancient Duke Williams Normandy is still around and Jersey is it, We still address your Queen as our Duke of Normandy, Her Majesty is the Queen our Duke here in Jersey, so we boast that in 1066 we conquered you,

Richard

Never mind, I've really got no idea what it's worth or how much I should ask for it. I wasn't expecting it to drift into the area of numatismatics, though

A quick look on ebay suggests £300 is a very reasonable price for an M645 and two lenses. You can search on ebay for sold listings by using the Advanced search.

That price is pretty much in line with those here in N. America for that kit. Sounds like you're in the ballpark Martin.
