I have a speed grip for an SQ-Ai, but rarely use it. With a WLF it is an inconvenience, and with a prism, unwieldy. However, when mated with a Metz 45 flash to balance things up, it scares the heck out of people

Used to have one for a etrs, but it was a bit of a pain, made the camera awkward and I found the film wind a problem, takes two turns to wind film on, crank winder is easier, Richard

I have an ETRS and it can be used hand held a lot easier with the speedgrip in my personnel experience. But I always use it on a tripod.

I use a Bronica SQ-Ai with a grip and find for hand holding it works a treat.
When used with a prism it is like using a big SLR. On a tripod it is not as easy as using a normal winder.

Same as Knikki. Makes an awesome weapon with used with a prism but is pretty much pointless when used with a WLF.

I hava a SQAm (built in motorwind). The 'hand grip' holds the batteries, and it only really begins to make sense when you have a prism finder on top. Take the camera with you when you try it out, and see if it suits enough to make the loss of your cash worth while. If it doesn't, and only you can decide that, then spend the money on film. Lots of lovely film.....

I have two SQAi's one with and one without I do find that I fav the one without because it is easier to transport. The one with the winder I find easier to level and steady the camera.

I have one and it makes the camera a lot easier to use with the prism handheld. Like everybody else, I generally take it off and fit the winder handle if I'm using the camera on a tripod. OTOH the hot-shoe is handy for mounting a spirit level if your tripod hasn't got one.

I have a manual wind hand grip on my Bronica and find it's very convenient and comfortable. Here in the UK they're relatively inexpensive.
