Hi, need help with Meopta Opemus 6 Enlarger
Hi, need help with Meopta Opemus 6 Enlarger plus general darkroom stuff. Just bought a bundle of stuff and I'm trying to get my darkroom up and running. Haven't done it since college many years ago so I'm really at the beginner level again.
Need some basic advice about some of the bits found in the boxes I have bought online. Cheers, John |

Hi John.
Ask away. It would help if you can post a quick digisnap of the items you are are asking about. Cheers, Bob. |

It might also pay for you to update your profile with a location - It is possible someone may offer some hands on advice if they knew where you lived.

Hello John,
Welcome to the forum. I have an Opemus 6. What do you need to know? Alan |

I have an Opemus 6 too. The bit I don't understand are the numbers on the column but everything else seemed to be straightforward, but then I've used many brands of enlarger over the years.

I also use an Opemus 6 enlarger, a fairly straightforward enlarger, buat like Paul I have used many enlargers, so tell us the problems and we will do our best to answer them

If you take a quick look in the manuals section of the forum, there is a PDF for the instruction manual for the Opemus 6, but it's just about illegible. Perhaps if you PM the OP he might send you the full size scan?

I have never used one of these enlargers but have seen one. The numbers on the column usually indicate the magnification on the baseboard that is created when using various negative sizes, and/or the rise and fall in inches/centimetres so you can reproduce the same magnification on the baseboard for different negatives at different times. (Assuming of course the negatives are all the same format)
