Thanks to all for the warm welcome!
I used to shoot color almost exclusively, since I started planning to build my own darkroom I started to shoot a lot of black and white.
Now it's about 50/50 I think, depending on mood and weather, like John King.
Printing color is a whole different game though, which I haven't explored yet.
I currently scan and print my color work digitally.

@Uwe, joining exhibitions is still a bridge too far, still got lots to learn.
Just joined your organised print exchange on the other forum for the first time, because I am curious about sharing work back and forth.
But who knows, maybe somewhere in the future!

@Buzz: There is also a well run monthly print exchange on this site as well, if you feel like joining in with the next round? The next sign-up date, for the March 2021 round, can't be far off.

Welcome to FADU! Nice to see another OM user. I've used Olympus OM kit for most of my 35mm stuff since buying an OM2n in 1983.

Defninitely became a big fan of the OM system and their beautiful lenses.
I've found that whatever Zuiko lens you take, they never seem to disappoint!

That sounds interesting and very tempting! I'll wait and see when it comes online and I might or might not enter just yet.
Definitely interested though!
Would it matter that I'm still quite the newbie on this forum with no post history, for entering a print exchange?

Not as far as I know. I'm sure the organizer will speak up if so, I'm sure.

As for people that join in on these exchanges, there is a breadth of different experience. As long as you try your best and are happy with what you send, then join in. There is also the bonus of putting it in the gallery and having it commented on by who ever wants to. It sounds a bit daunting but comments are there to help.

Have a browse of previous exchanges by clicking on the above links in the toolbar: Gallery then Exchange Galleries then the month of your choice. Note that there are lots of other galleries to look at after the first link as well.

Hi Buzz, welcome to the forum.

I have only recently joined the print exchange myself. Mike the organiser has just put out the call for anyone who wants to join in next month.

Thanks for pointing me towards the gallery. Nice to see that most (all?) work is also shared with the other participants, albeit digitally ofcourse.

Let's just dive in and see what happens...
I've made a post in the new topic to join the next print exchange, hopefully I'm allowed in!

If the close up print of the water beads you uploaded are a sample of your work you are doing well already.
