Default Hello from Plymouth

Hi everyone

Really glad I found this message board and looking at some of the amazing pictures in the gallery I think I can safely say that I'm the biggest newbie here!

Up until last February I had been shooting digital for 9 years but to be honest I just got really bored of sitting infront of my PC editing images. I've got nothing against digital but I just wasn't enjoying my photography.
So I sold all my digital gear and through books and the internet I have been attempting to learn 'traditional' photography. That was a little under 12 months ago and I haven't looked back!
I now use a Shen Hao 5x4 with a couple modern lenses and a couple old Petzvals and I really enjoy photography again.

Thats enough waffle about me!
Cheers
Mike

Welcome Mike,

I'm glad you have found us, I hope you have fun here. You may be the first Petzval user here but I will probably be proved wrong shortly!

Hi Mike - welcome aboard!

It's interesting the number of people doing as you have. I started a long time ago when film was the only game in town and then stopped for a while and came back when digital was under way but it never attracted me - possibly because I've been working with computers since the days they needed a large air-conditioned room to themselves and three full-time staff just to look after them and run programs in batch mode...

Have fun, Bob.

Hi Mike, a warm welcome. So glad you found the light, or should that be the dark?
