A Mac monkey? Have you seen those pictures by Lee Freidlander of people working at computer screens? That's what a Mac monkey looks like.

We are spending as much time, maybe more, processing on the Macs as we used to in the darkroom and it's not as much fun.

And while we are touching on the use of computers to process images, have you noticed how the new young things in our 170 year old activity say editing when they are talking about processing?

It's nice to hear how the darkroom can still be so alluring, especially to a professional who works with the latest high end pixel technology etc. Glad your interest is rekindled, hope you can find the time for it though.

I think our 170yr old activity is going to be around for a lot lot longer and I couldn't possibly imagine ever parting with my darkroom tools. In fact, I'm gonna request an oversize grave when I go, so I can fit the Devere in.
