Hi John
Oh the luxury of a shed that big... Before you convert, I'd have a read of this article - Sheds can be great spaces but are prone to condensation issues (but you probably know that already). Running water is not a problem as long as you have a hosepipe. |

Welcome to the forum John.
Hopefully you'll be able to get the shed/darkroom up and running soon. And with that gear, you should be turning out fine prints in no time!

Hi John and welcome. I'd certainly recommend a contact printer and if you haven't yet got an easel and money isn't tight then I'd consider a good-make 4 blade easel or as the very least a 2 blade Beard
There are plenty of cheap easels on e-bay but you get what you pay for which is an easel where the blades tend not to be completely parallel when moved for different size prints due to cheap engineering. If money is tightish then I'd go for Paterson fixed easel sizes in 5x7 and 8x10 or a Durst Comask which will give four 4x5 or two 5x 8 or one 8x10 - all with fixed borders. You lose flexibility in sizes but the borders will all be parallel. Mike |

Welcome John, I used a sheet of glass for contact prints for years.

Welcome John, using a shed is no great problem, that's what I use, only an 8x6, so you'll have more room. Like all small spaces, tidiness is key. My advice would be lots of shelves or cuboards and lidded storage boxes to keep everything as tidy and dust free as possible.
