Default Ideas

As we are the new boys on the block we are very much feeling our way and still learning to drive the software.
This thread is our equivalent to the company suggestion box with but one small difference. Anything deposited here gets read. So if you have any hints, tips or suggestions that you feel will improve your time here, please post your ideas here for all to see.

check if new host is running imagemagick which gives better image resising than GD libraries.

Default Exhibition rendezvous'

Dear Dave,
I like our new front page, most professional. How about a national list of Photographic Exhibitions, Published say every 3/4 months. Centralised on FADU could then be the basis of monthly regional meetings for those in each area. As the The castle expo proved nothing beats reality.

Watcha,
on the galleries, is it not possible to make a link from those who have made a comment, to their page, at the mo, all we get is their icon, to find them we have to go through the friends route rather than a straight click?
best
Mick

Sadly not - the Gallery and Forum software are separate programs. There is some connection between them so you do not have to log-in separately and they have a similar look and know about people's avatars but that's about it - you will note that the comments sections for example are very different between the two - it does not allow the option of linking to a person's profile in the Forum software.

It would be useful I agree so I will have a look and see if there are any hacks that have been made available to do this elsewhere.

Cheers, Bob.
