Default LED Safelight.

I have been reading about diy safelights for colour printing.
One thing that crops up a few times is using orange/yellow Led,s with a light output of 592 nm.
If the advert in the following link is to be believed, we darkroom types will end up looking like Hollywood film stars due to the action of 592 nm Led.s.

Just look at the advert and specification.

A fool and his money etc..

Cheers.

If only so many of these ads claims were backed up heavily with proper research...

I suffer from many things that these claim to fix, but until the above, I will be keeping my money where it is.

Heiland do a B&W + Colour Safelight = https://www.fotoimpex.com/darkroom/h...and-color.html

A few of us on FADU have the excellent B&W only version.

Not cheap but very good.

Default LED safelight

592nm is a bit close to the green spectral sensitivity of Multigrade IV and V. Aim for something redder than 610nm.

Suitable red LED lamps do not need to be in a filtered enclosure - in fact a filter would have virtually no effect.
