Default Third party rubber lens hood for the Mamiya 7 series 65mm f/4 lens?

Hello all,

Posted with regard to this issue at the other place a while ago but didn't get very far so thought it worth repearting here. Does anyone have experience of using a third party rubber lens hood (flexible of the Bronica type) with the 65mm lens for the Mamiya 7 series?

Martin,
I think it would be better to use the Mamiya hood as it has slots in it for viewing and the 65 mm is widest on the built-in viewfinder.
Not a fan of screw in hoods because if you need to use a filter you are then stacking and properly vignette.

I owned one for a few hours (not Bronica, just a standard one). As Jon said, it seriously obtrudes into one's view in the viewfinder.

I go with Jon on this one as it is essential to see through the hood when using the viewfinder. I must say though I find the Mamiya 7 hoods fiddly to use and I wonder just how effective they are as they are quite shallow
