EMetastman Kodak Research Fine Grain Developer 1925/6
Metol 2g Sodium Sulphite 100g Borax 2g water to 1.6 litres This was published a year or two before D76, essentially it's the same as D76 without any Hydroquinone and more dilute. Ian |

Thanks for both of those formulae guys.
Good to see the more Eco D76 though, especially as I will soon be trying to mix some of my own chemicals again, with the last time in the mid 70's when I was a teenager and attending an evening course in photography. I don't see any date on the Eco D76 though Norm, so is it a new formula that he's come up with or has it been around and been well published? Anything that is better for the environment I am willing to try. Terry S PS Just googled and found the originator of the Eco D76 Norm. Last edited by Terry S; 8th October 2018 at 12:27 PM. |

Not sure if its a new formula but anything that is less toxic to the water system is a good thing, see also http://www.film-and-darkroom-user.or...ead.php?t=1826

For an easy mix alternative, try D23.

The original link is now dead as the file has been removed from the website.
There was a complaint on another Forum about plagiarism. Ian |

As usual, I think that the 'conversation' got a little out of hand. comments are easily misread and made to sound much worse than intended on the internet in general.
Personally I like to just stay out of them and let them burn themselves out. Terry S |
