Default Many analogue brands European

I found myself on the freestyle website today and thought I'd download their analogue catalogue.

https://www.freestylephoto.biz/catalog

It wasn't until I looked inside that I noticed how many analogue brands are European. It seems Europe is the last stronghold for this market.

Any thoughts on why there seems to be so few US companies into analogue photography when there's clearly a strong home-base interest?

Yes, summed up in: The U.S. takes the analogue pics and Europe makes the equipment: D

My sentence may be a bit glib a la the advertising Mad( Madison Avenue) men but what is true is how difficult it is for a U.S. based darkroom worker to find a Nova for instance.

Must say, I love the colourful and well laid out (on-line) analogue product catalogue though!
