Will Cokin P be ok for Bronica SQ?
I want to buy some graduated filters to go on 80mm and 50mm Bronica SQ-Ai lenses. Cokin P and Z pro come to mind but am wondering whether I can get away with Cokin P without any vignetting? Does anybody use Cokin P with these lenses and can advise. Obviously P would be cheaper than Z pro.

I use Cokin P filters on my SQA with a 50mm lens and they are fine.
I do not use Cokin grads however as they are not colour neutral. I use Hitech grads from Formatt which I've tested with a colour densitometer to be as near neutral as I can measure. Lee are generally considered the bee's-knees in the resin filter game - if you can afford them (actually Formatt's glass filters are better but cost an arm and several legs - and quite possibly other parts of your anatomy...). Have fun, Bob. |

Should be fine, I have used Cokin P filters with a variety of MF cameras in the past with no problems, and they were designed for MF cameras,

You won't have a problem size wise, but as bob says, avoid the cokin grads. Their 2-stop is usable but the 3 stop is unusably purple.
When i used p-sized filters i used the hitch grads. Same price as cokins (more or less) but about 100 times better quality. |

I too have successfully used the Cokin P filters on my SQA + 50mm but as others have already commented they do have a slight colour cast. You also have to be aware that stacking the filters on the 50mm will result in some vignetting.

I don't use grad filters for the majority of my B&W work...

I do use some grad ND for B&W and don't have a problem.
