I did ask Tudor and I'm sure he said 50's. May be he will confirm or otherwise

I haven't had a chance to try printing it yet, but here's a link to a scan of the negative I took.

On balance, probably worth the risk.

Yes Paul it was worth the calculated risk and very well done

Excellent report Neil. I'm glad Sunday was productive despite the grey skies.
The camera in the photo was my Bessa II from 1950. It has a Heliar lens which is better than the average - in fact rather good. I used a Kontur finder to frame and the built in rangefinder to focus - if needed - plus a hood and a cable release. Metered with an old Gossen sixtomat.
Still haven't developed the films yet but I'll show some when I do.

Thanks Tudor,

I had the year right but not the make ! It was a very nice classic I must say and it will be interesting to see the prints from it in due course.

I hope the toe is repairing well.

Neil.

Although it's highly improbable I'll ever be able to take part in these events, I've very much enjoyed reading about your exploits.

Thanks for sharing and I'm very much looking forward to seeing some of the resulting images from such an interesting location.

I will be away on Sunday and Monday, so hopefully will make a start on my prints some time next week.
