Omicron-EL 105mm f5.6
Can anyone tell me something about this lens - performance, who built it, etc. Anything really. I can't find anything online. I believe it was made for Omega but that is all the information I have apart from it being a metal bodied lens with a very nice click to its aperture ring.

Just looked at my Durst M605 manual and that confirms what you have said about threads per inch. 26 TPI is about one thousands of an inch short of 1mm. What balm pot of a designer decided to mix up imperial and metric dimensions? Crazy. Cheers.

Martin Baker? (Continuing the aircraft maker theme.)
Found this on Wikipedia "True Leica Thread-Mount (LTM) is 39 mm in diameter and has a thread of 26 turns-per-inch or threads-per-inch (tpi) (approximately 0.977 mm pitch) of Whitworth thread form......... The mount was developed by Oskar Barnack at Leica to provide a system that would allow for the exchange of lenses on their new small film cameras (Leica Type 1 and Leica Type 2),........".
