Default Ulster

I'm surprised that Ireland hasn't been mentioned so far in this particular forum. The nine northernmost counties constitute Ulster - the six Northern Ireland counties along with Donegal, Cavan and Monaghan.

Take a look at Merrill's pictures that give a good idea of parts of Donegal; and look at some of outremer's cityscapes. Then think of the Mourne mountains, Loughs Erne and Neagh and, if you must, the Giant's Causeway. It doesn't stop there.

I love the rest of the island but others can speak for Mayo, Wicklow, Conamara, Kerry and Cork.

I think Ulster would be a wonderful location for a future fadu meet. Any one agree?

Anywhere on the Emerald Isle would suit me fine, in fact I shall be visiting again in the summer.

It would be a wonderful location but it's the cost of getting there if you are located in the U.K. unless you combine it with say a week's holiday which Ulster fully justifies.

The ferry is out for a week-end get-together. It takes too long. Flights are expensive and unless the location is Belfast there is the added difficulty of transport to the location.

Just my twopennies worth but I don't think I could justify it and there's no point in being less than honest about it. Sorry

Mike

Mr Whatshisname will get you there and back for little more than the price of a packet of paper.
