Hi Ricardo
Thanks for the post this is really good news, I loved using CHS100 and was sad when it finished. I will look forward to June.

That is very good news indeed, Adox 100 without the old problems, amd made in Germany, Fotoimpex/adox are certainly doing their bit to keep film alive

Great news! I loved the CHS films. I hope they bring back the 25 and 50 too!

Bet the prices will go up accordingly . . the attraction of the old Adox was its relative bargain bin price in sheet film . . .
That being said it was a decent film to use, if a tad delicate . .

True enough, it was great value for money. But I expect the quality control will be higher too. Though in my limited use of the films I never had any problems.

The price may be higher but possibly not as high as Ilford. Whilst I am a fan of ilford films I was beginning to miss the diversity that other manufacturers gave photographers.

I am very keen to give this a try in 35mm and 120 around June.

A few questions as I did not use this film before it was dropped. Having had a look at the link to Adox they are:

1) Has anyone tried reversal processing in the past and what chemicals. Kit or making up from formulae?

2) Recommended developer for B&W negs?

3) Is the film base thicker? Having recently tried Foma 100 in 120 it was a lot easier to load on to the tank spiral than Pan F which I find tedious due to thin base.

I seem to be moving away from my Pan F

Hi Alan - I can answer some of these questions:

1. We have a customer who used to reversal process the old CHS100 extremely well - infact he rated it as the best film to reversal process. If you would like his recipe he sent it to us and I can let you haev a copy - email me at sales@ag-photographic.co.uk

2. Any standard developer worked very well with the old CHS100. But also XTOL was highly rated - but then all films seem to look excellent in XTOL.

3. I don't know about base - Pan F is on the same base as all the other Ilford 120 films. Do you have a problem with other Ilford films? Adox say they will be coating onto a PET base - personally I prefer the triacetate base which is used by Ilford etc. and I find the PET feels rather thin. But it's not a big issue for me.

Matt
