Thanks for the advice and suggestions from everyone. There's plenty to think about before booking somewhere to stay and places to visit.

I will definitely be packing plenty of B&W film.

Cheers,

Keith.

One thing to watch out for.

If you head for the Dales, the Field Barns (common in the upper dales) are exactly the same tone of grey as the grass in the fields, if you shoot with an orange filter on FP4

I now use a yellow/green or green to solve that slight problem

Martin

I like using a yellow-green filter for landscapes.

Arriving with wife tomorrow near Pickering. (7 nights) then onto west York for 2 nights. A plan has been made of places to visit. If those living there see a bloke carrying a Rolleiflex TLR or setting up an RZ67, chances are it's yours truly.

Looking forward to visiting Yorkshire. N.T places, Castle Howard, Bempton, Rievaulx Abbey, Whitby etc.

Keith, if you visiting Reivaulx Abbey, would suggest Reivaulx Terrace is worth a visit, if I remember correctly you drive past the entrance to the terrace to get to the Abbey. Get a different perpsective of the Abbey from the terrace.

Ian
