Default RH Designs Zone Master

I have just acquired a RH Designs Zone Master which I believe maybe version I as the instruction booklet is dated 1997.

On the top of the unit looks to be a 3.5mm socket but I cannot see any reference in the instructions as to what it is used for.

Does anyone know please.

I'm not really very familiar with the Zone Master, but I suspect the socket may be to plug in a foot switch. Their connectors are usually about 3mm diameter. Or possibly for attaching the mains power supply rather than battery power. Both of these accessories for the ZoneMaster are shown by this link:

The zonemaster 2 can be connected to the stopclock pro, so I would think that the older version could also be connected to the stopclocl and the connection you have could be for that
