The toner (2nd bath) itself is fairly constant and varying times, dilutions etc won't make much difference.
I strongly recommend trying to get a copy of Tim Rudman's 'The Photographer's Toning Guide'.

Enjoy!
I had a look for one a while ago they wanted £120 for it

Much the same has happened, price wise, with all of his books, but more so with this one I think.

I bought my copy a few years ago now, and I paid about £50 for it, I think. But it really is an amazing book; a real mine of information.

Even with the relatively recent reprint of the book, there is still a huge audience out there wanting a copy, so I'm surprised that it hasn't gone into a third print run yet.

Tim stated that the publisher did not want to do any further editions after the first one so had the second one printed himself with silverprint. I don't understand why the publisher would not want a second run. obviously do not know a good thing when they see it.
I have a copy of the master printing course by Tim which has a lot of info on toning.

Do any of you use the the second bleaching method . Where you fix the toning then re-bleach to enhance the tone?
That is the trouble when you get time to do things the research kicks in and all sorts of possibility's turn up.
