Default Hello from Sweden

Hi,

I am new here and new in the darkroom, I have built myown darkroom in the basement. And it's not as flashy as it could be, but it works for me.
I have a Leitz Focomat 1c color in there and I use ilford paper and chemicals.
I am trying to learn how to use everything and recently jumped into the split toning technique. But I am sure that I have missed out on a couple on basic stuff, like how to store chemical and what is wrong when this and that happends, so that's where my focus will be this winter.
Step two will be fiberpaper, drying and selinium-toning, when I figure out how to dry the paper...

When I shoot, I use my Leica M6. I have owned a range of cameras and found that this is my tool, simplicity and build quality. And there is somthing with the rangefinder system that makes my pictues more intresting, must be the framing. Bu right now I dont have a lens, I am looking for a new 35mm (possibly a Leica Summicron 35mm v 4).
I also own a Nikon D800 that I dont use as much, a film scanner and an Epson printer for my colorfilm-work.

And I am a familyman with all the responsibilities, wich makes my time in the darkroom limited.
I love to shoot on trips and document stuff that happends.

Ops, almost forgot. My name is Fredrik, I live in Borås, Sweden.

Hi Fredrik, welcome

Drying fibre (more or less flat), there is a good summary of the 'tape the print on glass' approach
http://www.film-and-darkroom-user.or...read.php?t=315
I am using blotter paper, that approach is mentioned in a post below that article.
But of course there are many more ways...

By the way, the washing might be one of the questions as well and a real gem is the two parts series 'Mysteries Of The Vortex"

Welcome to the forum Fredrik. A flashy basement would be difficult to explain, one could get a reputation
