The opening post's question related to a comparison between MGiv R/C paper and Foma and their respective ease of toning. My experience is that Foma paper does tone much more easily than Ilford R/C. Whether one likes the results must remain a personal choice.

I think you will find they are all good papers and that they tone well and the only way to find out which one suits what you are looking for is to try them out.

I must say that Fomatone is the best paper I have ever used for toning bar none, I have got some beautiful effects that I could not get on any other paper, and for RC toning the best I have used is the Fotospeed RCVC paper, it is better for toning than multigrade and I use it in preferance, but MG does tone well, as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
