Thanks for posting this John I have 2 daylight fluorescent bulbs in my darkroom that I bought from BLT and while they are good they take a long time for the light to die away the one you mention sounds a much better option. I'll sort that today.

When anyone changes over can you give feedback too about what you find. Whilst not the Holy Grail, for me this is the biggest step forward since I started colour printing using a Nova processor..

Hologen v LED
One benefit would be the head would not get hot!
You could quite easily use the bulb I have in a B&W condenser enlarger so long as the bulb was directly in line to the condensers, such as in the Leitz Valloy or the earlier AF enlargers. Long exposures would be no problem because the negative would not get hot and 'pop' |
