Adox Pan 400
anyone have any experience of this yet ? I bought a few and haven't used it yet. It's a recreation of the Agfa APX 400 but not exact and apparently not quite a 400 so I'll maybe shoot it at 200 but need some info for development times
it'll be developed either in ID 11 at a 1/1 dilution or TMax at a 1/4 dilution. Any advice on a suitable time for it shot at 200 and 400 would be most welcome |

James,I would be inclined to do a clip test if unsure of the time, you could try as for agfa times, the new film is not very different from the old agfa film,so the recomended times in id11 for agfa is a good starting point, Richard

thanks Richard, just checking out a list of the times for Agfa APX 400
http://web.tiscalinet.it/visualphoto...fa-apx400.html going to buy a bottle of Rodinal, with the 1/25-1/50 dilution I'll view that as what the Americans refer to as 'sippin' whisky' Will try the Adox with various developers and see what the differences are whilst trying not to make a dogs dinner of it

Being a new emulsion (although loosely based on the old agfapan) I think the first batch is described as a test/first run emulsion and might be tweaked a bit later ? Whether this will need revised dev times I don't know

shot one of these yesterday and develped it today.
Since there doesn't appear to be anything published re times I shot it at 400 and developed as an Agfa APX 400. We'll see how this turns out, Matt at AG recommended I shoot it at 200 and develop as APX 400 but with a 20% reduction. Had already shot it at 400 when I got the email but will shoot the next one at 200 last night and this afternoons shenanigans were a Kodak TMax 3200 shot at 1250, will develop this tomorrow, hopefully
