In any case, it sounds like Jez has it well covered, and even had an electrician in to check it out. Good one! Just remember to give yourself some head room, Jez, for a beverage fridge and a water heater (in that order of priority ). Cheers, Svend |

Power (watts) is volts times amps, so yes, we get twice as much! :-D

Complete!
Finally done and printing! Light proofing was a nightmare, ended up using brown silicone sealant (horrible stuff) along seams, and also damp proof membrane plastic is very handy and completely light proof.
The shed is divided in two, other two pictures are of the office/consulting room at the front which I have yet to furnish. In the course of making this I have discovered that I love woodworking as much as photography, which is enlightening but also dismaying - where will I find the time and money for both??? |

One point that I cannot find covered is summer time. You may be able to warm the place up in winter. but once the summer kicks in (It does occasionally in uk!) the insulation will stop the place getting too warm. Being a darkroom, you can hardly open the door to let in a through draft.
I once used a darkroom in Cyprus and the temp in summer went up well beyond a reasonable level, regularly getting above 120F - shorts and flip-flops being the order of the day. |
