Any D-23 users?
FP4 at EI 50 looks superb in Perceptol and since D23 should be close to it in composition I wonder if there are any users of this Kodak formula containing only two ingredients. I'm temptet to make it myself.

D-23 types are often used as part 1 in 2 bath developers. It's OK for single solution, but I much prefer D-76/ID-11.
A Perceptol type formula can be found if you search for Edgar Hyman's fine-grain developer. Metol 5g Sodium sulphite, anhydrous 100g Sodium chloride 30g Water to make 1 litre. |

I like very much D-23 - I use it mainly diluted 1+3 because I normally have a lot of light and contrast, but I've never used it with FP4. In my opinion, generally speaking, if you develop with D-23 you should divide by two the ISO proposed by the film manufacturer.
It's really easy to prepare it at home. |

Thanks to all. It should be a good fit for LF film and tray development.
