Does anyone remember having processed reversal colour film returned from the lab in a long transparent/translucent sleeve curled into a mailing carton? We're talking 1968ish?

I put some Velvia through my Horizon Panoramic a couple of years back. Can't think what was going on in my head, as I knew the frames wouldn't fit normal slide mounts. Asked for the film returned uncut, and it came in transparent sleeving.
Possibly from https://www.the-darkroom.co.uk/ ??

Panoramic Velvia looked spectacular, by the way. I'd do it again if I could think of any way to actually share the images.

If not able to print them other than contact print them yourself, here is a (cough, cough) scanner film insert for just the job:

The labs I used still did this up until their closure. That's how my 35mm and 120 films were given to me when I picked them up (just no mailing carton).

Thanks Terry.
I've never scanned film, only prints (on a flatbed).
I guess you need a scanner which can trans-illuminate the film to be any good.
Might be a useful tool for assessing negatives. Conventional contacts of 35mm I find not hugely helpful, as they're so small.
120 and 5x4 are much more 'readable' as contacts.

Apologies for going off subject here; but you'll see why. Colin, I tried just now to pm you on this but your message box is full.

My lab in Toronto still does this with my C41 films (120). I see why they do it, but it's a pain in the rear to get them flat again.
