Ilfotec HC at 1+47
For years I have been developing all my B&W films in Plain Jane ID11. Latelly I have switched to Ilfotec HC, and found the standard dillution (1+31) gives me too short developing times (I like them around 10 minutes). What is the effect of diluting further to 1+47? More grain?
Thanks, Miha |

I use HC110 at 1+49 which is very similar developer. Higher dilutoin will extend required development time and it works very well, especially on larger formats.
Could be more grain at 1+47 but also could be sharper if you use agitation once a minute or longer. Also its getting into compensating territory so very bright highlights are tamed a little. Try it and see.
