And arrived yesterday.
The main exchange print was of a frozen lake with an interesting pattern of tone set against vegetation at the edge and a row of trees sticking up into the sky. All taken while testing out a Pentax P30 he was given.
His description of this and the film he used and other details were hand written on the back of another print made on a film coated onto paper which I have not heard of and consequently cannot be sure that I can read it right, and subtly hand coloured. I shall be penning a PM to him.

Thanks, Mike

Dear Mike, I am pleased that you enjoy my prints.

The special thing about the postcard print is not the paper it is printed on. That is Adox MCP if memory serves. The special thing is the Washi film which is coated on paper. This requires special handling, you cannot use a tank because the wet paper is too soft.

I have the Pentax P30 replaced in the meantime. Today (!) I got a Program A which has an ISO dial.

And it arrived in todays post although I think it would have been delivered yesterday, had it not been for the bad weather!

A lovely copper toned print taken on Malta with lots of great textures and the XA2 has rendered the details well.
I agree with you about the colour and I had a similar experience with MOERSCH MT4 Siena Polysulfide Toner. I find the ‘warmth’, ‘redness’ more striking than sepia.

Many thanks, Rob.

Received yesterday Graeme. A very good print of a lady artist at work (sketching) in Bali. You’ve done a great job of keeping detail in the darker areas and in the lighter areas - with some lovely in-between tones. You captured the moment perfectly.
Thanks!
Michael

Arrived yesterday from photomi7ch, an excellent print of frost covered fence post tops. Nicely seen and printed and very appropiate at the moment. It was taken on a Bronica SQAi and 110mm macro lens. I use the SQAi myself but have not yet aquired the macro lens.
I do like the print, thankyou very much and hope you can put it in the gallery.

Tony

Uwe, if I have understood correctly, you sent to Mike two prints, but only one has been put in the gallery, which I believe was printed from 'ordinary' b/w film.

As for the second print, I know of Washi film, and have thought about trying it myself. But it would be great to see the second print, made from this film in the forum.

Would you mind posting it?

Many thanks,

Terry S
