Thank you for your print it arrived safely.
It is a picture of french doors openinto the room with the light streaming across from the other side Producing strong shadows giving it a graphic feel. it is nicely exposed on Adox gloss paper with a slight hint of warmth to the image. I like the photograph a lot it is one that had I seen it may have made.

My print went in the post first class today. I couldn't find a stiffened envelope, so I hope it arrives uncreased.

And were delivered today!
Received two beautiful prints on Ilford MG FB paper from MartyNL. One showing the building of a Windsurfing school on the island of Texel, Netherlands. It's a long exposure, which creates some nice drama in the sky, leading the viewer directly to the school's building. There are two layers of foreground, being the beach and a strip of grass. The contrast between beach and grass also gives it some extra drama, which I really like. Defnitely my favorite of the two! The second image is even closer to my home town, it shows the "Provinciehuis" of our province of North Brabant in 's-Hertogenbosch. I've been there numerous times back when I went to school there, but never took the time to make some photos. Marty did very well, with (again) a long exposure photo. The reflection in the water is so strong that it's almost as if the reflection is a part of the building itself. Funny you mentioned the use of Rodenstock lenses, as I've just purchased a Rodagon 50mm f/2.8 to replace my Nikkor 50mm f/4... Thank you Martin, I really appreciate these fine prints! |

Mine put in the post-box earlier today - nearly forgot to post the envelope in the excitement of collecting a new darkroom toy from Nova (AKA The Imaging Warehouse...)

A great IR shot of Lochranza Castle on the Isle of Arran. Alex used the new MG V (is it satin or pearl - I can never remember which is which!) which is very interesting to me as I keep meaning to get some in this surface. The IR has really helped add contrast to the stonework of the castle increasing apparent sharpness (along with the PC Nikkor providing actual sharpness!) and has done its usual work on the sky and clouds etc adding a slightly surreal atmosphere. Thanks Alex, much appreciated. Cheers, Bob. |
