Thank you Frank,
Received safely today, a triptych of 6x9 pinhole contacts, and a separate print taken on World Pinhole day, thank you so much, it's a privilege to be the recipient, I really like those prints. I own the same camera and was thinking of doing 6x9 contacts, I will pursue that idea now that I have seen what a good result can be obtained. |

Glad you like them. The triptych turned out better than I thought while experimenting. The ZeroImage is a truly beautiful camera and a charm to work with. I made all my works for the World Pinhole Photography with this cute little box since 2012. Best wishes, Frank PS. Received two fine hand-sized prints from Terry. Beautifully printed on Ilford's MGIV RC Satin paper. As Terry stated in his letter, the satin finish is probably not the first choice for most darkroom printers, but I find it beautiful! Until today I hadn't seen this finish in real life yet in my relatively short darkroom experience but I was already very curious to at least try it once. And now I'm even more eager to try it myself. Terry sent me two photos. One of a man holding his speech on a Speakers Corner in London, somewhere in the 1980s. The composition makes you feel like you are really there in the moment. The choice for satin paper suits this photo very well. The second photo is a little more recent and it shows a street/boulevard scene in Burham on Crouch. Well framed and exposed, but also excellently printed. I'm not sure which would be my favorite of the two, as I really like the feel of the first photo, but I also like the way how everything just comes together in the second. Both are beautiful prints and I'm very happy that I can add them to my little (but growing) collection. Thank you Terry! |
