And a late welcome to the site, although I'm sure that you are well settled in by now.

I've only managed a week in NY city in the 1980's, so far, but it's a great place that I'd love to visit again.

Thank you.

NYC has changed for the worst since the pandemic, I am sorry to say. Streets and sidewalks are dirty, the metro a mess. Homelessness on the rise. It will take some time to address all these issues.

A terrible shame Renato. As homelessness is close to my heart, I like to support homeless charities when I'm able, especially since it seems to be on the rise in many other cities around the world too.

I remember being there in the early/mid 1980s for about 4 weeks and the place was a real mess.

Then it got its act together and tidied itself up.

Like everywhere else, it goes through cycles - it's just not great to see the downward cycle.

Welcome to FADU.
I worked on E71st NYC in1965 - loved every minute. Bought camera from Martin Forscher - fascinating place. Assisted (late) Herbert Loebel. Rolled dyes at K&L nights. It was no messier than London then.
Not been back since trade show in Jacob K Javits 1992.
