Pre-war Sutton Hoo photos

Eleven photo albums, loose prints and pre-war Agfacolor slides taken by two keen amateur photographers in August 1939 that were left at the National Trust's Sutton Hoo site twelve years ago have now been preserved and digitised.

That's fantastic! I'm so glad to see the preservation of photos taken by amateur photographers, Mercie Lack and Barbara Wagstaff, who recognised the importance of documenting events unfolding around them and Andrew Lack for appreciating the importance of his great aunt Mercie's work and the effort put in by the family to keep the collection intact and gifted to the appropriate institution.

Thanks for posting that. I really enjoyed the film, and now to see photos of the actual event is just great. Makes it all the more real. Wonderful collection.
