Hi from Nebraska... it's not the end of the earth but you can see it from here
Greetings,
Glad to find this forum. I'm setting up a darkroom for the first time in many years. Really miss it. I've got film cameras from a Minolta 110 and Agfa Optima Parat half-frame 35mm up to 4x5 a Toyo/Omega 45D. My enlargers are a Beseler 23CII and a Beseler 45S (both which dichro heads). I've got a bunch of photographic paper that I purchased from a guy who was disposing of his darkroom, including a bunch of Illford RC 20x24. I'm intrigued with trying some things that weren't around the last time I did darkroom, about 3 decades ago: Caffenol and Lith Printing, among other things. Also interested in trying some other Alternative Processes. I'm currently trying to bring back the Darkroom subreddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/darkroom which has been without active moderation until just recently when I volunteered. (Join us!) |

I should mention that learned B&W Darkroom in High School in the mid-70s for the High School Yearbook staff. I later was a darkroom tech for a portrait and wedding studio in my home town, where I also did color printing and processed 4x5 B&W sheet film occasionally from a copy camera. (We would have our color film developed and proofed at a lab, but would do some of our own color printing.

Good luck with the alt. processes - sounds like larger than 4x5 may be in your future Cheers, Bob. |
