...and arrived safely today. Many thanks for a beautiful print capturing all the atmosphere of Trier Cathedral. The image brings out the feelings of solemnity, mystery and sanctuary that we experience in an ancient place of worship. It also hints at the beauty of the interior of this important early German church. It is a very expressive print, and I am delighted with it. Thank you also for your letter. It is much appreciated. Hi Alex,
Well, a speedy delivery this time. Often it takes at least a week to the fairest isles. I am very glad that you like it! Best, Frank |

And two prints received today, thanks.
Both prints are from the same negative on two different papers with slightly different cropping. The photograph is an intriguing picture of some statues at the Eden Project. Before reading Quendil's covering note (which also alerted me to the presence of the second print) I thought it was of real people in a parade of some sort. Both prints have aspects that I prefer to the other one but am having difficulty deciding which one I overall prefer and why. I will PM when and if I have decided. Thanks, Mike |

Today I have received a very nice print of a wheelbarrow leaning on a decrepit looking wall from Rob Archer. I really like the warm brown tones of the Kentona paper (there is almost no need for sepia toning this way ) - yet, when I looked up some other images on the internet, their colour was nowhere near; is the resulting colour contributed by lith developer or by the age of paper?
