Hampshire Meeting
Hello Paul & greetings from, er, I think I'm in East Hampshire, Petersfield. Only moved here 6 and a bit months ago.
We seem to have a few members in this region. Could a get together be possible? Steve.

Steve,
Good idea. I have had one response from MartinB in this area, although he has not replied to my follow up. I often visit Alresford ( about 35 minutes drive), which is not far from Petersfield, so if you can generate some interest your end I would be pleased to meet up at a suitable hostelry. Perhaps each person could bring 2 or 3 prints to show? Paul |

I do go to Sussex occasionally and would join in if my trip coincides.
Good idea about the prints. Neil.

So, does anybody have any suggestions as to where? I'm not that familiar with area yet. I'll start the ball rolling...
How would somewhere like Winchester suit? 15 miles and 20-25 min for me. We ideally need a 'geographically centre-ish' location. I think the prints idea is great too Steve,

It's a long time since I visited Winchester, but I remember a good mix of subjects, indoor and out. Cathedral, castle ruins, and riverside walk. Even parts of the high street are photogenic. Are you planning for a weekend or weekday?

I work shifts so it's a question of the majority coming up with a suggestion and I'll take it from there. I did think of a weekday but weekend sounds better. Few Guinness and some Islay Malt ;-).
Winchester was just an initial idea to see how it suited people. I'm open to others too. Steve.

Steve,
Winchester suits me fine either week day or weekend. I still work but am self employed so can give myself a day off if necessary. As it gets dark so early perhaps we could meet mid morning and take some photos followed by lunch and prints? It can get very busy in Winchester at the weekend approaching Christmas so I would probably favour midweek. But if the consensus is for the weekend that's ok with me. Paul |

A get together in Winchester would be perfect, I'm not working at present so a week day or weekend would suit me. I

There doesn't seem to be any objections to Winchester as yet.
How are people fixed for dates with things like Christmas shopping etc... A good reason to dodge it if ever I heard one. Steve.
